Checking In Again

I was welcomed back into the Disney College Program today, but this time at Walt Disney World in Florida.

Let me keep this simple because I want to go to bed soon. Here was my itinerary the past few days:

Jan. 28

• 12:00pm - Left Warner Robins with a dream and a cardigan (but not really). My car packed to the extreme.
• 12:00-2:30pm - Stopped in Valdosta to eat lunch with my friend Marcus.
• 3:15-7:15pm - Drove to my aunt Bunnie's house in Orlando. She let me stay with her for the night for free and even too me to dinner!!

Jan. 29

• 7:00-7:40am - Drove to Vista Way Apartments right outside of WDW. This is one of the housing complexes where Check In happens.
• 7:40-9:50am - I waited in a bunch of long lines at different stations to get checked in. They had a problem with my info at first because I was a rehire outside of WDW, but they figured it out eventually. I was given a cool 'Alumni' button to wear.
• 10:00-11:15am - I got my room placement, which is in Chatham Square. I was lucky enough to get a one bed room. I started unloading a few things from my car.
• 11:30am-2:00pm - I loaded a bus to take me to Casting to do background checks and legal stuff. Nothing too exciting there. Some of the cast members asked me about Disneyland. They said they don't get a lot of people that have done the program out there before.
• 2:00-8:00pm - I finished unpacking, met my roommate, got a sandwich at Panera, and went to Publix for some groceries. 
• 8:00-12:00am - I went to dinner with some people we met today at Downtown Disney's Raglan Road Irish Pub and my roommate. We stopped by Walmart to get a few more things I forgot.

Let Me Catch You Up

I graduated with a degree in Theatre Education from Columbus State University in December 2012. Most schools don't hire people in January, so I thought I would do the Disney College Program again, but this time in Florida instead of Anaheim. 

Well, I wanted to do something more performance based this time, so I planned on attending an audition in Orlando this past September. I came down to Orlando, but on morning of my audition I got in a horrible wreck. I was fine, but the SUV was not.

I was able to work it so I could attend another audition in Atlanta. Needless to say, I got passed on until the last round of the auction, and a few weeks later was offered a position as a Character Performer!!
